... Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow in effect from 10 am this
morning to 10 am PST Tuesday...
... Winter Weather Advisory for snow in effect from 10 am this
morning to 10 am PST Tuesday...

* snow accumulations... 12 to 18 inches in the warning area... with
6 to 12 inches in the advisory area.

* Winds... west winds of 15 to 25 mph will cause areas of blowing
and drifting snow and low visibility... mainly over the higher
elevations.

* Timing... snow will develop late this morning and becoming heavy
at times late this afternoon through Tuesday morning.

* Locations in the warning include... the Cascades from Lake of The
Woods north. This includes Crater Lake... Diamond Lake and
portions of Highway 140... 62 and 232 near Union Creek.

* Locations in the advisory include... the Cascades and Siskiyous
south of Lake of The Woods. This includes Howard
Prairie... Interstate 5 at Siskiyou Summit... Mount Ashland... and
dead Indian Memorial Highway.

* Impacts... heavy snow and reduced visibilities will cause travel
difficulties. Roads will be snow covered and icy. Higher rural
and unplowed roads will become impassable due to heavy snow.

* travel is strongly discouraged, especially in warning areas, because
of dangerous conditions.

* If you must travel, keep tire chains, a flashlight, blankets,
