... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2 PM Sunday to 9 am EDT
Monday...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect
from 2 PM Sunday to 9 am EDT Monday.

* Locations... Hamilton, northern Warren and norther Fulton
counties of the southern and eastern Adirondacks.

* Hazard types... sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... sleet accumulation of less than an inch.

* Ice accumulations... around a tenth of an inch with isolated
higher amounts.

* Timing... mixed precipitation will develop in the early
afternoon. The precipitation may briefly change to rain in the
late afternoon, but will transition back to freezing rain in the
evening.

* Impacts... hazardous travel due to icy roads. Isolated power
outages are possible.

* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
