Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 6:22 PM EST Nov. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect until 3 am EST Sunday...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Pennsylvania, southwest Pennsylvania,
west central Pennsylvania, and western Pennsylvania, including
the following areas, in northwest Pennsylvania, Forest,
Mercer, and Venango. In southwest Pennsylvania, Allegheny,
Washington, Westmoreland, and Westmoreland ridges. In west
central Pennsylvania, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, and
Jefferson. In western Pennsylvania, Beaver and Lawrence.

* Until 3 am EST Sunday

* rain will move back in with the cold front this evening.
Additional rainfall of up to a half inch may pose problems in
areas that have already seen almost two inches of rain today.

* The expected rainfall totals could cause area streams and
creeks to overflow their banks, as well as standing or flowing
water across some roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
