... Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect from 4 am to noon EST
Tuesday...

* locations... the Interstate 81 corridor of central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania... from the Syracuse Metro area...
southward through Cortland and Binghamton... then further
southward towards Wilkes-Barre... Scranton... Hazleton... and
adjacent portions of the Pocono plateau.

* Hazard types... freezing rain.

* Ice accumulations... less than a tenth of an inch.

* Timing... an area of light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will
overspread the region early Tuesday morning... generally between
5 and 8 am. Temperatures will slowly rise above freezing late
Tuesday morning... with at least patches of light freezing rain
expected to continue through about 12 noon... particularly over
the higher terrain.

* Impacts... ice accumulations may create slippery Road conditions.

* Winds... southeast 5 mph or less.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
