Issued: 9:20 PM EDT May. 27, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
west central Anne Arundel County in central Maryland...
northeastern Prince Georges County in central Maryland...

* until 915 am EDT Monday.

* At 919 PM EDT, stream gauges indicate flooding is occurring on the
little Patuxent River in Howard County, and this flood wave will
be moving downstream into Anne Arundel County near Crofton
overnight. Additionally, the water will cause rises in the
Patuxent River east of Bowie. Other streams in the area may also
be experiencing flooding.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Bowie, Crofton, Odenton and Prince Georges stadium.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
