Special Statement
Issued: 8:05 PM EST Jan. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Pockets of dense fog developing across central North
Carolina...

A few observations sites as well as a report or two from storm
spotters indicate that pockets of dense fog were beginning to
develop across central North Carolina this evening. A dense fog
advisory maybe needed later tonight if the dense fog becomes more
widespread.

Motorists need to be on the lookout for sudden changes in
visibility. Visibility can drop quickly over short distances,
especially near rivers, lakes and other low-lying areas.
