... A line of heavy rain showers will affect southeastern
Davidson... northwestern Montgomery... Randolph and eastern Stanly
counties until 330 am EST...

At 235 am EST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of heavy rain
showers along a line extending from 11 miles north of Badin Lake to
near Albemarle to 6 miles southeast of Midland. Movement was
northeast at 70 mph. The strongest shower was located between Locust
and Albemarle and is exhibiting some rotation.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and heavy rainfall will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
High Point, Asheboro, Albemarle, Randleman, Badin Lake, North
Carolina zoo, Thomasville, Seagrove, Archdale and Trinity.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts as high as
50 mph are capable of knocking down small or weakened trees and
blowing around outdoor objects.

Doppler radar has indicated weak rotation with this storm. If the
storm intensifies and rotation strengthens, a warning may need to be
issued.
