Special Statement
Issued: 5:16 AM EDT Aug. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Locally dense fog this morning...

Visibilities over portions of southeast Virginia and northeast
North Carolina will remain under a mile at times through mid
morning. Locally, visibilities will be reduced to less than one
half mile, mainly over low lying rural areas. Conditions are
expected to improve later in the morning.

Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to
the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam
headlights only.
