The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
central Jefferson County in Alabama...

* until 1230 am CDT

* at 935 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. An inch of
rain or more has already fallen with a steady rain for another few
hours expected. This may produce some minor flooding and rises
along area creeks.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Birmingham, Gardendale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Tarrant, Adamsville,
Graysville, Brookside, Ketona Lakes, Birmingham fairgounds,
b.J.C.C., Kingston, Ensley, Birmingham Airport, Legion Field,
Forestdale, McDonald Chapel, minor, Danville and Docena.
