Issued: 9:20 AM EST Nov. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* flood advisory for...
southeastern Shelby County in west central Ohio...
northern Champaign County in west central Ohio...
Logan County in west central Ohio...

* until 1215 PM EST.

* At 919 am EST, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
moving across the advised area. Radar estimates show that an inch
and a half of rain has already fallen, with another inch possible
by 1215 PM EST.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Bellefontaine, Urbana, West Liberty, North Lewisburg, De Graff, West
Mansfield, Quincy, Woodstock, Valley hi, Zanesfield, cable, New
Jerusalem, McMorran, Kiser Lake State Park, Millerstown, Kennard,
Bloom Center, East Liberty, Lewistown and Logansville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

your report via social media, when you can do so safely.

* winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Timing... winds will be gusty through the day with the strongest
wind gusts likely occurring this evening into tonight.

* Impacts... scattered tree and power line damage is possible
along with some minor property damage in the highest gusts.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Secure loose outdoor objects. Drivers of high-profile vehicles or
trailers should exercise caution. The wind and wind gusts will
make difficult driving conditions.
