... Flood Watch in effect through this evening...

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of north central Ohio, northeast
Ohio, and Northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in
north central Ohio, Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow,
and Richland. In northeast Ohio, Holmes, Mahoning, Medina,
Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne. In Northwest
Ohio, Hancock and Wyandot.

* Through this evening

* showers and thunderstorms will continue through this evening
with a widespread 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of rain possible by this
evening.

* Excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding of streams, low
lying spots, and poor drainage areas especially in urban and
hilly locations. Those near streams and rivers should be
especially cautious as streams and rivers can rise quickly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch is issued when there is a potential for flooding.
Monitor the forecast and remain alert for possible flood
warnings. Those in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to
take action should a Flood Warning be issued or if flooding
develops.





Wind Advisory
Issued: 9:50 AM EST Nov. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to
10 am EST Sunday...

* timing... tonight and early Sunday.

* Winds... damaging winds are possible in any thunderstorms that
develop with the cold frontal passage early this evening.
Winds will become northwest and gust to over 50 mph from this
evening into early Sunday morning.

* Impacts... downed branches and power lines. Objects that are
not secured such as trash cans or lawn furniture may be blown
away.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued for sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or
gusts between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of this magnitude can cause
minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists should
use caution especially motorists in high profile vehicles.
