Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 4:19 PM EDT Jun. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... The flood advisory for southwestern Clark and central Greene
counties remains in effect until 730 PM EDT... .

At 355 PM EDT, minor flooding was reported northeast of Fairborn and
creeks were out of their banks. The heavy rain has ended for now,
however minor flooding is still possible. Some locations have
already seen over three inches of rain, so any additional rainfall
will likely cause additional issues.

Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways and
underpasses will continue to occur. In addition, farmland near
creeks, streams and drainage ditches will continue to experience
minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Beavercreek, Fairborn, Xenia, Yellow Springs, Wright-Patterson AFB,
Cedarville, Enon, Jamestown, Wilberforce, New Jasper, Clifton, Green
Meadows, Rosemoor, Hustead, Selma, Oldtown, Gladstone, Greene County
Airport, Springfield Municipal Airport and Holiday Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

To report flooding, go to our website at weather.Gov/iln and submit
your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
