The Flood Warning continues for
the Saint Joseph River Michigan at Three Rivers
* until late Sunday night.
* At 10 am Saturday the stage was 7.2 feet and steady.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall below the 7.0 foot flood stage
around 2 am Sunday may 27.
* At 7.0 feet... expect minor flooding of the scidmore park picnic
facilities in Three Rivers.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.0 feet which occurred
on may 31 2011.

... Air quality alert in effect for Sunday and Monday...

An air quality action day has been declared by the Indiana
department of environmental management for Allen, Huntington,
Elkhart, St. Joseph and La Porte counties in Indiana... and is in
effect for Sunday may 27 and Monday may 28.

Ozone levels are expected to be in the Orange or unhealthy for
sensitive groups range.

People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which lead to
ozone formation. These activities include... refueling vehicles or
topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment
and using charcoal lighter fluid. Positive activities include... car
pooling, biking to work, delaying or combining errands and using
water based paints.

It is recommended that people with respiratory diseases such as
asthma limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
