Flood Warning
Issued: 10:20 AM EDT Jun. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Riverton.
* From this morning to Friday afternoon.
* At sun 10:00 am the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 16.7 feet by late Wednesday
night then begin falling. The river will fall below flood stage
late Thursday night.
* At 16.0 feet... some agricultural lands underwater. A few rural
roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up minnow
Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township Levee in
Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most
makeshift levees.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Hutsonville legacy Power Plant site.
* Until Friday afternoon.
* There have been no observations in the last 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to crest at 17.9 feet Wednesday
evening and will fall below flood stage by late Thursday night.
* At 18.0 feet... seep water occurs behind levees on Indiana side.
Hutson creek begins to overflow from backwater. Old Darwin Road
and a few rural roads in eastern Clark and Crawford counties in
Illinois are impassable. Low agricultural land floods.
