The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* From Monday morning until further notice.
* At 8:45 PM Saturday the stage was 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Monday morning and continue to
rise to near 28.5 feet by Sunday evening.
* At 28.5 feet... extensive flooding in progress. Some residents along
south division street in the Mt. Carmel area and in the Keensburg
area must relocate. Several local roads are flooded, some by
several feet of water. These include south division street, CR
1280 E, three township roads south of Illinois 1 near Keensburg in
Illinois, and Wabash River Road and Wilson Road near Little Rock in
Indiana.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Vincennes.
* From Sunday afternoon until further notice.
* At 10:45 PM Saturday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 24.6 feet by Saturday evening.
* At 24.5 feet... on the north side of Vincennes near old Terre Haute
Road, Sawmill extensively floods including the Concrete structures.
Flood waters surround about 5 to 10 houses just west of Road near
the executive inn. Kelso creek has extensive backwater. Wabash
River is within a few inches of closing oliphant drive at Kelso
creek. A heavy local rain would cause severe flooding to shopping
center near Kelso creek. Fort Knox Road floods at snapp creek.
Park located on Fort Knox Road also floods.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Riverton.
* From this evening until further notice.
* At 10:00 PM Saturday the stage was 15.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 24.4 feet by
Friday evening then begin falling.
* At 24.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress. Most levees are
at critical levels. Water level near the top of a few levees.
High water begins to affect residences in eastern Palestine,
Illinois and those along East River Road just southeast of
Palestine. Some evacuations are necessary. Rodeo area in Leaverton
Park begins to flood. Water near or over East River Road south of
Palestine.

the Wabash River at Hutsonville legacy Power Plant site.
* Until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 24.9
feet Friday morning.
* At 25.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress in York and
Hutsonville, Illinois. Flood waters surround homes and are in a
local park. Local River Road south of Hutsonville to Palestine
almost floods.

* From Monday morning until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 24.0
feet Saturday morning.
* At 24.0 feet... a flood of this height causes great agricultural
damage from June through August. Some river cabin residents
evacuate. Most local roads flood. Several oil fields are
inaccessible.

the White River at Petersburg.
* From Sunday afternoon until further notice.
* At 10:30 PM Saturday the stage was 9.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 23.4 feet by Friday evening.
* At 23.5 feet... water from the great June 2008 flood recedes from sr
257 south of Washington. The river stage at Shoals was less than
10 feet and less than 14 feet previous day. The Lost River was
low... except for backwater from the East Fork White... during this
entire flood event.

the White River at Edwardsport.
* From Sunday afternoon to Tuesday may 09.
* At 7:00 PM Saturday the stage was 9.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 22.7 feet by early Thursday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday morning.
* At 22.9 feet... a 25 foot section of levee unit 8 failed at this
level on March 6 2011... flooding local roads behind the levee.
Flooding not nearly as bad as June 2008 levee failure. Flooding
was very close to one of the June 2008 failures.

* At 10:30 PM Saturday the stage was 10.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 21.1 feet by Wednesday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday before midnight.
* At 21.0 feet... flood waters reach critical stage for McGinnis and
shufflebarger levees.

* From late tonight to Monday may 08.
* At 7:36 am Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
rise to near 25.6 feet by early Wednesday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by early Monday morning.
* At 26.0 feet... Shawnee airfield floods as flood waters begin to get
into the hangar. Relocation of livestock may be necessary.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, North
Central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard,
Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In
east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In North
Central Indiana, Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown,
Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings.
In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery,
Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren.

* Through Monday morning

* multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected through Sunday
night on top of rain that has already fallen. Several more
inches of rain are possible over all or parts of the watch
area.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
