The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* Until Wednesday February 01.
* At 10:45 PM Monday the stage was 20.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 22.3 feet by
Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.
* At 22.0 feet... flood waters begin to affect residents of east Mt.
Carmel, Indiana. Fifth street that parallels river closes. Twin
restaurant along the river also closes. Several local river roads
flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Vincennes.
* Until Wednesday February 01.
* At 11:45 PM Monday the stage was 16.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 18.6 feet by
Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.
* At 18.0 feet... agricultural lands and some oil fields flood.
Several township roads about 1.25 miles south of St. Francesville
and River Road between Billett Road and Lincoln Memorial bridge in
Lawrence County are flooded. Extensive flooding of Kimmell Park at
Vincennes.

* Until Thursday February 02.
* At 11:00 PM Monday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.1 feet by
Thursday evening. The river will fall below flood stage early
Thursday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress. Higher rural
roads begin to flood. High water isolates many river Cabins. Seep
water becomes a problem.

the Wabash River at Hutsonville legacy Power Plant site.
* Until Thursday February 02.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 21.4
feet early Thursday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... river Cabins become isolated. Basement flooding
begins in Hutsonville. Extensive agricultural flooding is in
progress. Higher Illinois rural roads in eastern Clark and
Crawford counties flood.

the White River at Hazleton.
* Until Tuesday January 31.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 21.5
feet Thursday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... in agricultural season, extensive flooding of
bottomlands and some of the higher bottomlands is in progress.
High water surrounds residents in river Cabins. Oil fields and
local roads flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Petersburg.
* Until Monday morning.
* At 11:30 PM Monday the stage was 20.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.8 feet by
Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
evening.
* At 20.9 feet... during June 2010 State Road 257 south of Washington
began to flood at this crest level at Petersburg after Shoals
crested at 18.19 feet. About a week later Petersburg crested at
21.34 feet... about one half foot higher... but the water did not
reach State Road 257 after Shoals crested at 15.59 feet... about 2.5
feet lower. Lost River did not contribute much water during this
June flood and locally it was not extremely wet.

* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 19.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Friday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... water is at critical levels for makeshift levees.
Most of bottomlands flood. Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358
between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by several feet.
High water surrounds river Cabins. This type of flood occurs on
average about once a year.
