Special Statement
Issued: 4:54 PM EST Dec. 4, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Light to moderate snow this evening...

Light to moderate snow will continue this evening across southwest
lower Michigan and may result in some limited travel impacts.
Surface temperatures currently near or slightly above freezing
will gradually cool slightly after sunset. Main roads and highways
should stay mainly wet. But moderate snowfall could result in
slushy/slick conditions on Interstate 94 over the next couple of
hours. Use caution while traveling as visibility could be reduced
to a quarter mile in heavier snow.

Secondary roads and especially bridges and overpasses may become
slick this evening and overnight. Slick/slushy travel conditions
may linger through the Monday morning commute.

Total snowfall accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected through
late tonight on grassy surfaces. Some spots west of US-131 and
south of Interstate 96 could see a total of 3 to 4 inches on
grass.
