the Grand River at Grand Rapids
* until further notice.
* At 09 PM Tuesday the stage was 11.3 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 13.7 feet by Monday morning.
* Impact, at 14.0 feet... expect minor flooding to occur in low lying
areas upstream and downstream of Grand Rapids, especially in the
areas of North Park and Comstock Park.

* Impact, at 10.0 feet... river is bankfull. Expect flooding of low
lying areas adjacent to the banks.

... Small Craft Advisory in effect from 10 am this morning to 1 am
EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Small
Craft Advisory... which is in effect from 10 am this morning to
1 am EST Thursday.

* Winds... southwest winds 10 to 20 knots increasing to 15 to 25
knots by late this morning. Winds will decrease to 10 to 20
knots after midnight.

* Waves... 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet this afternoon
subsiding to 1 to 3 feet by Thursday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that winds or waves are expected to
produce hazardous conditions to small craft. Inexperienced
mariners... especially those operating smaller vessels should
avoid navigating in these conditions.
