Flood Warning
Issued: 9:58 PM EST Feb. 18, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Grand River at Robinson township.
* From Thursday evening until further notice.
* At 4:35 PM Sunday the stage was 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage by Thursday before midnight and
continue to rise to near 14.7 feet by Saturday morning. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact, at 15.0 feet... vanlopik Road is 1 to 2 feet under water.
Moderate flooding of several homes on the east end of vanlopik
subdivision occurs.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 14.9 feet
on Apr 12 2017.

... Flood Watch remains in effect from Monday afternoon through
Wednesday afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
following areas, in central Michigan, Clare, Gratiot,
Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, and Osceola. In south central
Michigan, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Jackson.
In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent,
Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central Michigan, Lake, Mason,
Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.

* From Monday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon

* 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected from Monday through
Wednesday morning. Locally higher amounts are likely.

* The rainfall, combined with a melting snowpack and a frozen
ground could cause flooding across the area.

current forecasts.
