Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:53 PM CST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until noon CST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until noon CST Sunday.

* Visibility... visibilities were still down to a quarter mile in
spots and these should become more widespread and worsen later
this evening. Visibilities may drop to near zero at times. The fog
should last through Sunday morning until conditions improve by
midday.

* Impacts... driving will be hazardous due to dramatically reduced
visibilities and limited sight distance between objects and
other vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
