Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 1:00 AM CST Dec. 11, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon CST today...

* short term trends... a band of light to locally moderate snow
will gradually move off from west to east this morning.

* Storm total snow accumulations... additional snowfall totals of
1 to 4 inches are expected... resulting in storm total
accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.

* Winds/visibility... southeast winds of 10 to 15 mph with some
higher gusts will cause visibilities to be reduced to less than
a mile at times.

* Impacts... the primary impacts will be very hazardous travel
conditions due to reduced visibility and snow covered and icy
roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food,
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
