Wind Advisory
Issued: 12:02 AM CDT Oct. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CDT this evening...

* timing... northwest winds will maintain themselves at varied
moderate to high levels into this afternoon before finally
diminishing by sunset tomorrow. The strongest winds will likely
occur during the late morning to early afternoon hours.

* Winds... northwest winds will reach sustained speeds of 25 to
35 mph with peak gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

* Impacts... strong northwest winds may affect high profile
vehicles, blow trash cans and other loose objects and break
small branches. These strong winds may also cause difficulty
controlling fires with fields being harvested especially
susceptible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or more or
wind gusts over 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
