Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 9:09 PM CST Dec. 3, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 am CST
Sunday...

* timing... snow will continue around Mason City and spread south
and east into Iowa Falls and Waterloo early Sunday morning.

* Storm total snow... snow fall accumulations will generally be in
the 2 to 3 inch range... and mainly on vegetation with lesser
amounts on roads due to melting.

* Winds/visibility... southeast winds of 7 to 12 mph are expected
but will have little impact. Visibilities may drop down below a
mile at times due to falling snow.

* Impacts... primary impacts will be travel conditions. The
consistency of the snow will make it slushy and slippery on
roadways that will further impact traction overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
