Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 1:03 AM CST Jan. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a dense
fog advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... visibilty will be reduced to a quarter mile or less
at times.

* Impacts... in addition to the dense fog reducing visibilities,
fog forming on relatively cold surfaces can make roads
slippery. Use low beam headlights when traveling this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
