... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Monday evening...

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Iowa, southwest Minnesota,
northeast Nebraska, and southeast South Dakota, including the
following areas, in Iowa, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay IA,
Dickinson, Ida, Lyon IA, O'Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux,
and Woodbury. In southwest Minnesota, Nobles and rock. In
northeast Nebraska, Dakota and Dixon. In southeast South
Dakota, Clay SD, Lincoln SD, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner, and
Union.

* Through Monday evening

* thunderstorms are expected to continue through Monday afternoon.
Some of these storms could result in rainfall rates of 1 to 3
inches per hour which could cause flash flooding in both urban
areas and rural areas in the watch area.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
