... Near record to record highs again today... heat indices rising
into the lower 90s for several hours this afternoon... .

Once more weather more typical of mid Summer will occur this afternoon
with highs rising into the lower 90s most areas with dewpoints in the
middle 60s. These temperatures with the humidity will result in heat
index values into the lower 90s this afternoon. Winds will be southerly
at 5 to 15 mph providing limited relief.

Afternoon highs may approach and possibly break records at Moline and
Burlington and possibly at Cedar Rapids.

Those who are planning outside activities are encouraged to take plenty
of water and take breaks from the heat.
