Issued: 4:20 PM CDT May. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at La Crosse.
* From late Tuesday night until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 3:15 PM Monday the stage was 11.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Tuesday night and continue
to rise to near 12.5 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... Pettibone campground and RV park is flooded.
Road access to the north end of the Shore Acres development is
impacted by flooding. Some lowland flooding occurs in other areas
near the river.

Scattered thunderstorms will continue to track east across the
area through 10 PM. The stronger storms have a history of
producing 1/2 inch hail that covers the ground, along with
rainfall rates of as much as 1 inch in 30 mins. Wind gusts have
topped out at 35 mph.

When storms approach, seek shelter inside.

Scattered thunderstorms will rumble eastward across the area
through 9 PM. The stronger storms will be capable of 1/2 inch
hail and wind gusts to 35 mph. Brief, heavy downpours will also
