... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Thursday evening
through Friday evening...

* the precipitation will start out as rain Thursday
evening... transition to a wintry mix for late Thursday night and
Friday morning... and then change over to snow for late Friday
afternoon and night.

* Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches... locally higher
possible. Ice accumulations of a glaze are also possible.

* Significant reductions in visibility in the snow.

* Plan on difficult driving conditions... including during the
morning commute on Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow... sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

Flood Warning
Issued: 11:12 AM CST Feb. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Black River near Galesville.
* From Thursday morning to Sunday evening... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 10:45 am Wednesday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 13.4 feet by Friday morning. The river will fall
below flood stage by Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... flooding mainly impacts wildlands and
agricultural pasture land. However the approach to the south end of
the County Road vv bridge over the Black River may be flooded.
