Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 1:31 PM MST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 9 PM CST /8 PM
MST/ this evening...

* timing... light snow will diminish through this evening.

* Snow accumulations... no additional accumulation is expected.

* Winds / visibility... sustained northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph
with gusts to 45 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting
snow. Areas of poor visibility below one half mile in blowing
snow are expected.

* Impacts... near blizzard conditions in blowing snow will reduce
visibility and create hazardous driving conditions. Don't
overdrive the conditions! Slow down and give yourself extra time
to reach your destination if travel is necessary this evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
