Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 1:18 PM CDT Mar. 29, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The urban and small stream flood advisory for snowmelt remains in
effect until 400 PM CDT Thursday for eastern Bottineau... northern
Pierce... northeastern McHenry and Rolette counties...

Minor flooding due to melting snow has been reported in rollete
County. Minor flooding of rural areas should be expected in the
advised area for the next couple of days as warm temperatures
encourage more snow melt. Small rural streams should also be
expected to continue to rise over the coming days with the potential
for more Road closures and flooding of low-lying areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from melting snow will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
