... High wind watch remains in effect from late tonight through
late Thursday night...

* winds: southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* Timing: winds will begin to increase Thanksgiving morning, then
become strong throughout the day and into the evening hours.
Winds should then start to diminish later Thursday night into
early Friday morning.

* Impacts: damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Holiday
shoppers, travelers, and those outdoors can expect high wind
impacts, especially between 4 PM and 10 PM.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger, may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
