... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois, and west
central Illinois, including the following counties. In central
Illinois, De Witt, Logan, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McLean,
Menard, Peoria, Piatt, Sangamon, Tazewell, and Woodford. In east
central Illinois, Champaign, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie, and
Vermilion. In west central Illinois, Cass, Fulton, Morgan,
Schuyler, and Scott.

* Through late tonight.

* Another 1.5 to 3 inches of rain is expected over much of the
area through tonight. Much of the area has already received 1 to
2.5 inches since Monday morning.

* This additional rainfall will cause flooding of area rivers
and streams across central through east central Illinois.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
