... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 am CST
Wednesday...

* timing... periods of snow... possibly heavy at times this
evening... is expected to continue through tonight and end late
Wednesday morning.

* Main impact... hazardous travel due to snow packed roads and
reduced visibilities with blowing and drifting snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulations will range from near a foot
or more over Knox and Cedar counties to 6 to 9 inches for
areas further south from Albion to Norfolk to West Point and
Onawa.

* Winds... north or northwest winds from 15 to 30 mph will cause
considerable blowing and drifting snow... especially from this
evening into Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... hazardous travel due to snow packed roads and
reduced visibilities with blowing and drifting snow.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
