Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:25 AM MDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM MDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MDT Friday.

* Timing... rain will change to snow this evening, with moderate
snow expected at times through Friday afternoon.

* Total snow accumulations... 4 to 6 inches.

* Winds/visibility... northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Visibility will
be reduced to less than one mile in snow.

* Impacts... hazardous travel is possible due to snow covered roads
and low visibility. Heavy snow on fully leafed trees could cause
tree damage, with the possibility of tree branches falling onto
power lines and causing power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
