Flood Warning
Issued: 10:34 AM CST Feb. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in New Orleans/Baton Rouge has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.
* From Saturday March 03 to Thursday March 22.
* At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 28.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage on Saturday March
3rd and will continue to rise to near 39.5 feet by Friday March 16th.
* Impact... at 38.0 feet... river traffic and Industrial activity on the
river side of the levees will be greatly affected. Navigational
safety regulations will be strictly enforced.
* Impact... at 36.0 feet... river traffic and Industrial activity on the
river side of the levees will be greatly affected. Navigational
safety regulations will be strictly enforced.
* Impact... at 35.0 feet... river islands from Red River Landing
downstream to Baton Rouge will be inundated.
