Lake Wind Advisory
Issued: 10:21 AM CDT May. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this
evening...

* event... a tight pressure gradient will continue to develop
across the region today, resulting in northwest winds increasing
to near 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 to 35 mph at times.

* Timing... through 7 PM this evening.

* Impact... boaters should exercise caution on area lakes and
waterways due to rough chop conditions which can capsize small
craft. East and west bound high profile vehicles will be
affected by the winds and should be alert for sudden high wind
gusts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
