Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 8:21 AM CDT Sep. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
western Tarrant County in north central Texas...

* until 1015 am CDT

* at 817 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
producing heavy rainfall across southwestern portions of Tarrant
County. Automated rain gauges near Benbrook had recorded one to
two inches of rainfall over the last two hours. Excessive runoff
from these thunderstorms will cause Urban and Small Stream
flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor
drainage are most likely to experience flooding. This means some
low water crossings in the region may become impassable.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Worth... Haltom City... Benbrook... Saginaw... White Settlement...
Crowley... River Oaks... Sansom Park... Lake Worth... Eagle Mountain...
Edgecliff Village... Westworth Village... Blue Mound... Lakeside...
Edgecliff and Westover Hills.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
