Special Statement
Issued: 10:42 AM CST Dec. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... An Arctic cold front will bring the coldest temperatures of
season to the panhandles tonight through Thursday morning...

An Arctic airmass will settle over the panhandles behind a strong
cold front this evening into Thursday. Northerly winds are
expected to increase as the cold front moves through Wednesday
afternoon. While a few flurries and some very light freezing
drizzle is possible Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning... the
main story is the very cold conditions. Temperatures will quickly
drop going into Wednesday night as high pressure begins to build
into the area. Lows will drop into the single digits in the
western Oklahoma Panhandle with teens in the southeastern Texas
Panhandle. Take action to ensure pets and livestock are able to
shelter from the cold.
