... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 3 PM Tuesday to
6 am MST Wednesday...

* location... central Colorado mountains including the cities of
Climax... Leadville and Bonanza.

* Cause and timing... snow will develop and increase Tuesday
afternoon and continue into early Wednesday morning.

* Snow accumulation... 5 to 9 inches with locally higher amounts
on west and northwest facing slopes.

* Wind... west winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Impact... poor visibility in snow and blowing snow will make
travel difficult. In addition... bitter cold wind chills from
15 to 30 degrees below zero.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow and
areas of blowing snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and
use caution while driving. In addition... be prepared for bitter
cold wind chills from 15 to 30 degrees below zero.
