Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:36 AM MDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight MDT tonight...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect until midnight MDT
tonight.

* Timing... snow will develop by the early afternoon hours, with
moderate snow at times through Friday evening.

* Total snow accumulations... 4 to 6 inches, with locally higher
amounts possible.

* Winds/visibility... light west winds becoming northeast 15 to 25
mph Friday afternoon. Visibilities will be reduced to a half
mile in snow and blowing snow.

* Impacts... hazardous travel is expected due to snow covered
roads and low visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
snow and gusty winds will create restricted visibilities and
drifting snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling...
especially in open areas.
