Issued: 11:40 AM MST Dec. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
evening...

* timing... a mixture of rain and snow will continue today across
Star Valley... while the mountains will continue to see
moderate to heavy snowfall at times.

* Snowfall so far... 6 to 12 inches in the mountains. 3 to 6
inches in the valley. 10 to 12 inches near alpine.

* Additional snowfall today... 1 to possibly 2 inches in Star
Valley... with 4 to 8 more inches in the mountains.

* Wind and visibility... expect a west wind of 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to 45 mph in the high country. This will result in
blowing and drifting snow along with lowered visibility down
to one quarter of a mile at times. Salt River Pass will be
impacted by these conditions.

* Impacts... roads may become slick and snow packed with limited
visibility at times... especially over the Salt River Pass.
People planning outdoor activities should be prepared for
adverse winter weather conditions and take the proper
precautions.
