The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from midnight tonight to noon MST Monday.

* Impacts... difficult travel due to reduced visibility and snow
covered roads.

* Timing... beginning late tonight and continuing through the
morning commute.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
along the eastern benches.

* Confidence... high confidence in timing. Low to moderate
confidence in amounts and impacts.

* Locations... Interstate 15 corridore from Idaho Falls south to
Pocatello and west on Interstate 86 through Raft River including
Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and American Falls.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
periods of snow and blowing snow may cause travel difficulties.
Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and
remember to take it slow in the snow.

problems in rural areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of potential low water
crossings. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate
Route.

to 45 mph at times.
