east central Guadalupe County in east central New Mexico...
northwestern Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
southwestern Quay County in east central New Mexico...

* until 630 PM MDT

* at 231 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to a cluster of slow moving showers and
thunderstorms. Expect pockets between 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.
Ponding of water along ditches and on area highways is expected.
Highway 209 between Quay and Ragland and Highway 252 between house
and Ragland will be affected.

* Locations impacted include...
Quay... house... Montoya... Ragland... McAlister and Forrest.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 307 and 320.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of Road intersections and low-lying
