Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 12:35 AM PST Dec. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am PST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 10 am PST this morning.

* Visibility... less than 1/4 mile many areas with some areas less
than 500 feet.

* Timing... densest fog in Kings and Tulare counties especially
between Hanford and Visalia and down to Corcoran and Alpaugh
through 4 am... then the dense fog will expand northward and
southward and continue through mid morning.

* Impacts... dangerous driving conditions. Dense fog can be very
patchy in nature and can catch a driver off guard. Visibility
can drop to near zero in a very short distance.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
