Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 6:28 AM PST Jan. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 11 am PST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 11 am PST this morning.

* Timing... areas of dense fog will persist in the San Joaquin
Valley through late morning, mainly between the i5 and Highway
99 corridors from Merced County through Kings and Tulare
counties. Conditions will begin to improve by around 10 am.

* Impacts... visibilities will drop below 200 feet in some
locations. Very low visibilities will create hazardous driving
conditions in the area this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
