The National Weather Service in Pago Pago has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for
all of American Samoa

* until 7 PM SST tonight

* moderate to heavy rainfall combined with strong gusty winds will
result in an increased threat of downed trees and landslides.
Reports of landslides and runoff were reported earlier today
from the western district of Tutuila and villages of Pago Pago
and fagasa. An additional rainfall rate of 1 to 2 inches will
move over the affected area through this evening. Homes near
mountainous area will become vulnerable to landslides... and
extremely heavy flash flooding in small streams and runoff will
continue.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or
occurring in streams... roads and low lying areas... including
landslides from valleys and mountainous. Move to higher ground
immediately if your home is in a flood prone area.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on
foot. Report severe weather to the local police officials or the
emergency operations center /EOC/.
