   11 am PDT Tuesday for abundant lightning on dry fuels for
   fire weather zones 617 622 and 623...

... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Tuesday morning through
   Tuesday evening for abundant lightning on dry fuels for
   fire weather zones 617... 622 and 623...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 11 am Monday to 11 am PDT
Tuesday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire
Weather Watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday
evening.

* Impacts: thunderstorms and very dry fuels will likely result
in new fire starts. Gusty thunderstorm winds could contribute
to fire spread. Initial attack resources could be overwhelmed
and holdover fires are possible.

* Area affected by warning:

in southwest or... eastern Umpqua National Forest in fire
weather zone 617... southern Oregon Cascades in all but extreme
southern part of fire weather zone 623... eastern Jackson
County from Shady Cove south to just east of Ashland in fire
weather zone 622.

* Counties affected by warning:

in southwest or... eastern third of Douglas County... eastern
part of Jackson County.

* Thunderstorms: scattered thunderstorms with lightning
activity level of 3. There will be local wetting rains
Tuesday into Wednesday... but most areas will get less than a
tenth of an inch of rain with these storms.

* Timing: thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and continue
overnight into Tuesday morning. Another round of scattered
thunderstorms is likely Tuesday afternoon and evening.

* One less spark, one less wildfire.

the Klamath River valley... the Marble Mountains and the Scott
Valley in fire weather zone 280... and northwest part of fire
weather zone 281 in the Siskiyou Mountains.

In southwest or... the southern part of the Gold Beach Ranger
district in fire weather zone 618... the Kalmiopsis Wilderness
in fire weather zone 619... fire weather zone 620 south of
Galice... and all of fire weather zone 621 in the Siskiyou
Mountains.

* Counties affected by watch:

in northern CA... western Siskiyou County.

In southwest or... southern Curry County... south-central
Josephine County... far southern Jackson County.
