Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 8:37 PM CDT Mar. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 4 am CDT Friday...

* locations... the Minnesota arrowhead, the Iron Range, areas
north of the Iron Range, and as far south as the Duluth area.

* Timing... expect a light wintry mix including freezing rain
through the overnight hours... diminishing early Friday morning
before daybreak.

* Impacts... light ice accumulations may lead to slippery stretches
on area roads... especially across bridges and overpasses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for mixed precipitation means a mixture
of freezing rain, snow, and sleet is expected. Small
accumulations of ice are expected on untreated roads and
sidewalks. Anyone with travel plans should be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down when driving and allow for extra
stopping distance because you may lose control of your vehicle if
you try to slow down or stop quickly.
