The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 11 am MST /10 am PST/
to 10 PM MST /9 PM PST/ Thursday.

* Snow amounts... 1 to 3 inches in the valleys and 5 to 10 inches
in the mountains, except up to 15 inches possible above 7000
feet.

* Snow levels... all elevations

* timing... snow will begin Thursday morning and taper off Thursday
evening in the valleys, but continue through Friday night in the
mountains.

* Impacts... snow accumulation on roads will make driving difficult
and treacherous, especially during the Thursday afternoon
commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will primarily cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Travel in the mountains and backcountry is not
recommended without proper equipment and adequate provisions.
