... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT /8 PM MST/ this
evening...

* timing... winds will be strongest this afternoon and then
decrease after sunset.

* Winds... west to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 35 to
45 mph. Higher gusts of 45-55 mph will be likely across the
western Mojave Desert, including Barstow, Daggett, and Fort
Irwin.

* Impacts... strong Crosswinds could make travel hazardous on
north south roadways, including Interstate 15. Visibility
could also be reduced in areas due to blowing dust,
particularly near the Mojave river.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means strong winds gusting over 40 mph can make
driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
